Hello! My name is Carla Zorrilla and I am a graphic designer born, raised and based in the Dominican Republic. Having graduated high school with a passion for illustration and animation I set out to pursue a degree at Western Michigan University. I graduated in 2017 with a BFA in Graphic Design and a Minor in French and immediately moved out to NYC where I worked for a year at GHD Partners designing environmental graphics. In 2018 I moved back to the Dominican Republic where I have been working as a freelance graphic designer since.
My lettering work was recently featured on Femme Type and shortlisted for the 2021 Typism book 7. I recently took part in Periods for Periods, a collective of female designers that created an all period font to advocate for free period products in school and I was awarded 2nd place in the photography contest FotoFún Carnaval PuntaCana 2019.
